I think the ask is simply to add a control control-scheme/ux, since Galaxy works already in linux via proton - plus that way it isn't specifically steam deck, owners just benefit alongside other controller based gamers. Think Galaxy Big Picture mode.

Hey GOG. Just want to let you know that ever since I got SteamDeck I've found myself buying more games on Steam. It's not even that difficult to use Steam on SteamDeck to install GOG Galaxy 2.0 and its games on it as well, all through Proton, but... It's not intuitive, especially not using controller so it breaks UX a lot. That's why I have bought games on Steam, even though I could have buy them on GOG. Please, really look into optimizing GOG Galaxy to work better with SteamDeck controls and possibly lunch native linux GOG Galaxy, that just install your games through Steam Proton. Really think about it, please.

I have switched from Steam to GoG over the years to support the Idea of DRM Free Games. Now with the Steam Deck I wanted to support the trend of Linux as a gaming system. Since Steam OS is a free platform I would be stoked to see GoG create at least a barebones version of the Galaxy Client for the Steamdeck, so I can have all my games in one place again.

We need this!!! GOG please find a way to work easily on the steam deck. An unofficial open source launcher for Epic Games called “Heroic” will be available. Maybe GOG can make a better one that’s even official.
