Ability to filter adult content.
Perfectly reasonable.
I agree the option should be. All the people should have the choice what to see or what to not.
I don't care about adult content (to be true, I have never seen it on GOG's front page), but I wouldn't mind some filter options (hide options) by tags. For example, I hate anime style games, I would never play them, never buy them and I would hide them with a light heart.
And here I thought I was the only one who wasn't 12 years old and found this offensive. Good showing guys. I don't need this on the GoG front page. Definitely needs a filter. Not telling anyone how to run their life and they can go dig into all that all they want, though I wouldn't recommend it, but please keep it away from normal people.
GOG brings those games CENSORED, anyway (like Full Metal Daemon Muramasa). I agree with those wanting to be able to stop viewing them, since in their current state/GOG-iteration, they are an eyesore and a disgrace. For those games, everybody interested, would do well to buy them in their site of origin, instead of the dumpster fire called gog.
( . ) ( . ) thats eyes, you perv!
Absolutely. Just the ability to filter out this lame, low effort, anime porn from my user experience would be greatly appreciated.
Agreed, that content really needs to be filtered out.
Steam lets me filter out sexually explicit games... but GOG can't? Hmmm.
@GOG Admins, <br /> While I say live and let live, some users do NOT want to see "Adult" content. Some of us have kids and family who are sensitive to explicit content. An option in our user profile to filter out anything classified as "Adult" would be greatly appreciated!
I don't want to see sex games on your site anymore. Please let me filter them out.
I wish gog would not patronize me and actually let me find "Adult Content" games... pulling a steam and straight up geo blocking me...
Games designed to function similarly to pornography really are a special category. <br /> <br /> It is annoying and unpleasant that I cannot filter them out. Just like there is the very helpful "Filter out DLC Conent" . I would like there to be a "Filter Adult Content" (as in games where being sexually explicit/pornographic is the main point of the game) when I am looking for stuff. <br /> <br /> I try to prefer GOG over Steam because of all the things GOG does well but this is a borderline-dealbreaker for me.
There are thousands of classic titles (You know, "Good Old Games") that still haven't been released on GOG, and instead I get bombarded with this trash every time I come here. No one forced you people to allow these games to be on here, so the least you could do is put some content filters in place so I don't have to see it.
Absolutely agree. I have nothing against NSFW games or their presence on this website, but nowadays it feels like half of what comes out consists of cheap anime smut made with RPGMaker, and it would be cool to be able to filter that out.
I'm getting a little tired of seeing this on the front page. You can sell what you want, but please don't make sift through smut just to find some good old games.
I fully agree and also hope that the filter will be enabled by default on all accounts, especially with new accounts. <br /> I can't recommend anyone to use GOG now until this feature is added.
It would be great if you add a filter system that can target specific adult content. For example, if someone only want to find Otome games, they should be able to find those. <br /> <br /> Currently you have to wade through dozens of erotic games that aren't interesting if you are looking for specific content. Tags and filters should be more flexible.
Yes! If you must sell porn games at least let us filter them out.
Hungry for a new game on a Saturday night I decided to sort GOG by new releases. The new releases included such hits as: <br /> Lust Theory Season 1 <br /> Lust Academy Season 1 <br /> Summer With Mia Season 1 <br /> Inside Jennifer <br /> and Milky Quest 2 UNRATED, which normally would excite me as I love dairy; but fearing it might be a porn game I skipped it. <br /> <br /> I have decided not to purchase any games tonight. I wonder how many sales were lost this weekend because you can not filter out pornography? I generally only buy from GOG if I know the title of the game I'm looking for ahead of time now. <br /> <br /> Filters. Please.
Just found that you CAN indeed filter out NSFW or other tags. In the search TAG sections, once you click on NSFW (or any other tag), you have the option to move your cursor on the right until you see the "closed eyelid" symbol. This will not hide all games tagged with the NSFW tag.
Adding a more general EXCLUSION filter, to filter not only NSFW but other tags such as JRPGs for example.
Yeah, that would be nice. Though i'm okay with such content, it would be great to have an ability to filter it off.
I was going to make this wish myself because I keep getting greeted with sexual adult content on my front page and it's getting really annoying.
As pointed out by another commenter, there are multiple ticket that are all the same issue: <a href="https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/adult_content_account_filter_option" class="light_un" target="_blank"><br /> https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/adult_content_account_filter_option</a> <a href="https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/hide_adult_only_games" class="light_un" target="_blank"><br /> https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/hide_adult_only_games</a> <a href="https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/nsfw_filter" class="light_un" target="_blank"><br /> https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/nsfw_filter</a> <br /> <br /> This recent massive influx and sale on those kinds of games without this feature is a shameful blunder on your part. This is (was ?) a SFW website but now I don't know if I'm going to be greeted with porn in my emails or on the front page.
The other ticket probably should be somehow emerged into this one (having more votes...): <a href="https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/adult_content_account_filter_option" class="light_un" target="_blank">https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/adult_content_account_filter_option</a>
A little ironic that to the left of this suggestion is a paragraph headed "Keep it clean"
A someone who welcomed the sale of 18+ games on GOG i also want the ability to filiter them from searchs
